“Mosaic” is a word that well describes Vickie's philosophy of life. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Vickie was born and raised in Hong Kong, then came to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. Graduating with Bachelor degrees in Education and Mathematics, she then spent most of her energy and passion in finding the meaning of life as an active and practising Christian. For a number of years, she travelled and lived in Taipei, Vancouver and Waterloo respectively to study theology and serve as a church minister.
Vickie was ordained in 2004 and conducted her first wedding in 2005. Vickie believes that weddings are joyful occasions and are life changing experiences for the bride and groom as well as family and friends. Vickie prefers being called a “marriage officiant” rather than “wedding officiant” -- because the wedding ceremony, however glamorous it is, only lasts a few hours -- but marriage lasts a lifetime.
Vickie loves taking walks with her husband, travelling, dining in new restaurants, watching movies, using Youtube to learn cooking and care skills, as well as visiting with friends and family. Vancouver is the perfect city for her because this is where the “East meets the West”, a mosaic of culture at its best. She is completely at home in this beautiful west coast city.
